Enter the code shown on your freezers display
Is it safe to keep using it?
Depends on code severity. Low/Medium codes often allow continued use, High severity requires immediate stop.
Can error codes be reset?
Some codes clear after power cycle. Persistent codes indicate underlying issues needing repair.
When should I stop using it?
Stop immediately for water leak codes, burning smell, or any High severity error.

AL02
Freezer High Temperature Alarm
High
The freezer high-temperature alarm tone announces that cabinet temperature is above the safe-frozen threshold and food safety is at risk.
View
DF
Defrost Heater / Defrost Cycle Fault
Medium
The cabinet temperature creeps upward over a 3–7 day window as ice builds on the evaporator and progressively blocks airflow.
View
F3
Freezer Compartment Air Sensor Fault
High
A separate thermometer placed in the freezer reads 10–20°F warmer than the display target after a few hours, and frozen items begin to soften at the surface.
View
F4
Freezer Evaporator Sensor Fault
Medium
Cabinet temperature is normal at first but slowly creeps upward as ice builds on the evaporator and progressively blocks airflow from the cooling fan.
View
F5
Microprocessor / Control Board Fault
High
The control panel may go blank, show a jumbled string of characters, or display a temperature that does not change when buttons are pressed.
View
F6
Communication or Compressor Circuit Fault
High
Listen near the rear of the cabinet — a healthy Liebherr freezer compressor produces a steady soft hum. Silence or repeated start-stop cycles indicate the inverter is not receiving consistent commands.
View
F7
Ambient Air Sensor Fault
Low
Cabinet temperatures stay at the set point because the cabinet sensors are unaffected. F7 is a degraded-mode fault, not a food-safety fault.
View
F8
Compressor or Cooling System Abnormal
High
A healthy Liebherr freezer compressor produces a steady soft hum that cycles through the day. Silence or unbroken continuous running both indicate an F8-class fault.
View
F9
Voltage or Power Supply Fault
High
The freezer powers off without warning when supply voltage drops below the BluPerformance minimum, often correlated with garage power tools or HVAC startup events.
View
F12
SuperFrost Function Fault
Medium
Pressing the SuperFrost button on the control panel produces no response, or the function activates briefly and cancels itself within a minute or two.
View
HF
Post-Power-Cut Warm Alarm
Medium
A continuous or pulsing alarm tone announces that the freezer experienced a temperature excursion while you were away.
